The Willows at Ashcombe Mansion
I currently intern as a Venue Concierge at The Willows at Ashcombe Mansion in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. This position has given me the opportunity to learn about the hospitality industry from the perspective of a special events venue. I've learned how to communicate effectively within a team while managing multiple projects at once. I've developed my designing, editing, and planning skills throughout this experience.

The projects listed below are the three main community events that I helped plan and execute as a member of the team. Besides those events, I've also assisted with marketing and sales projects such as tours, leads, and customer guides.

Trunk-or-Treat
This first annual trunk-or-treat hosted by the mansion was free to the public and there were over 1,000 guests in attendance throughout the evening. There were multiple food trucks and over 20 local businesses and community members that designed trunks and handed out candy to the guests. Prior to the event, I helped plan logistics and designed the website, multiple fliers, and social media posts. During the event, I greeted guests, answered questions about the mansion, and handed out candy.

Winter Wonderland
This ticketed winter event included over a dozen local craft vendors, a raffle, food trucks, carolers, and photos with Santa Claus. Leading up to the event, I helped gather vendors and raffle items, created the website, and ran a marketing campaign on Facebook and Instagram. During the event, I acted as hostess and checked guests into the mansion.

Queen of Hearts Experience
This Valentine's experience included two ticketed events: an elegant dinner the weekend prior to Valentine's Day, and a dessert & coffee reception on Valentine's Day. Prior to these events, I created two websites and two Facebook events, one for each event. I also ran a marketing campaign on Facebook and Instagram and was the point of contact for any guests that had questions about the event.
